Why Telehealth?

The COVID-19 global pandemic changed how Amy conducted business, just like the majority of the world had to learn to adapt to changes in business. Access to healthcare was threatened by the inability of many to leave their homes and having in-person appointments moved to tele-appointments.

Amy never considered doing tele-psychiatry, but knew that her patients needed her more than ever during 2020. The “ah-ha” moments and things that Amy learned from conducting her appointments virtually of the hidden blessings that hid behind caring for her patients behind a screen. The successes both her and her patients discovered throughout them meeting virtually over the last year, found her starting her own private virtual-only practice.

Psychiatry is uniquely positioned to continue to allow virtual care, which greatly improves access to care for many people. Patients no longer have to get time off work, find childcare or drive long distances back-and-forth into the clinic for an appointment that can easily be done by secure video chat. This also allows Amy to add more clients into her day or tend to a patient who may need urgent care.

Appointments from Home

Virtual care is the future of healthcare – especially when it comes to mental health care. Many people now have access to quicker, safer, and easier appointments. This is why we’ve started our virtual-only private practice. No matter what mental health challenge you’re currently struggling with, Amy and her network of collaborative practitioners are here to help. All you need is a safe space, good connection, and you’re ready to receive the care you need!
